A great way to help kids learn about saving

They get to pick out a prize from the branch’s treasure chest each time a deposit is made into their savings account. They also get a $5 deposit card for their birthday that they can bring in and redeem for a $5 deposit into their account.

Any child can join the Kids Account up to the age of 12, or any teen up to the age of 17 can join the Telco Teen Account with a five-dollar ($5) minimum deposit. A parent or guardian must be a joint owner on minor accounts. Child must live, worship or attend school in Alexander, Avery, Buncombe, Burke, Caldwell, Catawba, Cleveland, Haywood, Henderson, Iredell, Jackson, Lincoln, Madison, McDowell, Mitchell, Polk, Rutherford, Transylvania, Watauga, Wilkes or Yancey county or have an immediate family member who is currently a member.
